i enjoyed star trek enterprise better than stargate universe. i actually wanted to send a story idea for stargate atlantis but was dissapointed when it got cancelled. stargate atlantis still had a lot of potential what with the re-emergance of the assguard, stargate atlantis should be brought back and those that axed the show should swallow their pride and admit that they made a mistake. i would also like to say that babylon 5, space above and beyond and farscape are also better than sgu. gritty realistic shows tend to be boring, all i want is shows that you can enjoy that have great storylines and characters sg1 and sga had that. i watched a few episodes of sgu and all i can say is boring its like big brother in space we see very little aliens and other races, more happened in a few episodes of sga than a whole series of sgu.

The Stargate Movies Campaign is in all out protest mode for the Stargate movies to be greenlit–this includes SG1′s Stargate Revolution and SGA’s Extinction (ironic name isn’t it?). It’s doubtful whether the movies will be produced if the rights to Stargate are owned by the now bankrupt MGM. Mallozi and other producers/writers have stated that if there is a Stargate movie the SG1 movie will come first, and now I hear if SGU gets cancelled then it'll have a movie that will come first before everything. Wow -_______-

There’s something wrong about how TPTB are treating SGA. I’m sorry, I truly am a SG1 fan, but it already had 10 seasons and two movies. Stargate Atlantis should come first. When SGA was cancelled they promised us a movie and we're still waiting. If SGU gets cancelled they get first dibs?! Hell no!

Stargate fans and science fiction lovers from all across the globe have spoken–we don’t like Stargate Universe. It’s lame, fake, and boring. You’d have to put me in handcuffs, and get me drunk to watch that distasteful shit. Unfortunately those who have any negative criticisms whatsoever can no longer post at GateWorld (the largest Stargate fansite known to date). As the site owner, Darren, recently announced words “like ‘crap’ and ’stupid’ and ‘idiot’ aren’t respectful to anyone” and GateWorld moderators will continue to “delete posts where readers insist on voicing their discontent through hate and insult“.

It’s sad that GateWorld is officially undergoing censorship. Thankfully, there is still a refuge for stargate fans to voice their dislike of BattleGate 90210 at SGUsucks.com. Stargate Universe’s co-star Brian J. Smith who plays Lt. Matthew Scott (a gross looking, military, sex addict) confesses that the majority of Stargate fans are fed up with the new show. Smith claims that the fans aren’t open minded enough if they don’t like it, and that they need to take time to ‘transition’. What a load of crap. Honestly, this guy needs to wake up from the little fantasy world he’s living in; SGU has no depth, its slow, its boring, and the cast is absolutely annoying!

There’s a sense of ownership from a lot of fans that’s amazing and rare, but it’s also dangerous” says Smith.

SyFy, MGM, and Brad Wright have freaken betrayed the SGA fandom. How dare they cancel our show, and replace it with a piece of crap like SGU. This is utterly disturbing. Absolutely troubling! Within these current weeks, I'll make sure to bring hell to TPTB. I'll be sending letters, emails, and all the freaken citrus fruits I can find. I WANT MY SHOW BACK.

Now after all this, I'm hearing that they've axed the Atlantis movie?! See here for the depressing news. Also, the Atlantis props being sold off to the highest bidder, so that's a basically a confirmation that there will be no movie. All the while this is coupled with the fact that they've arrogantly blocked all attempts at emailing them, by blacklisting all SGA-cancellation related matters, and have continually changed their email addresses. Just see here to read about SyFy executive Dave Howe bragging about blocking all our email attempts. What a damn liar!!

Currently the petition is over 37,000 signatures (at least that's good).

Also, we are still in the decision stage for phase two of the campaign.  Here are some of the current ideas and some good news too.

We have had and will have some Save SGA members handing out flyers for the campaign.   250 were handed out at a recent comicon in Dallas, TX.  Next, at the SG Chevron 7.2 con in the UK, then the con for Supernatural in March  and at the SG con in Chicago.  If you or if you know someone that is going to any upcoming conventions, please consider helping the campaign in this way.  I already have a basic flyer ready, that only needs to be tweaked a little for each convention.  The convention organizers have been very supportive and helpful, even telling one member that if she sends them the printed up flyers, they will put them out for us.   Many fans do not know about the campaign, and there are still plenty of people that have not yet learned of the cancellation, so we really do need your help!  Please contact me here or through the contact us form on the FIghtforAtlantis website.  

As for other news, we are trying to get a commercial of sorts going.  The idea is for people in all different languages saying something like "I will fight for Atlantis", with the phrase being said in English at the very end.  Then a wrap up statement in words on the screen.  If you or anyone you know might be interested in taking this and running with it, please contact me.

Also, we are trying to get fans and Save SGA members to make and wear T-shirts with www.FightforAtlantis.com on them and the following picture (or one like it - which brings me to the next point, which is if anyone has ideas for the slogans or has great face shots of any of the SGA cast, please contact me.)

My other exciting news is that Shaun Daily, who started the "nuts" campaign that resulted in a second season of "Jericho," has generously agreed to have me on his Internet-based radio show "TV Talk" on Friday.
